Dr. Yee-Wing Tong was born in China and immigrated to the United States in 1962. He initially studied physics at California Institute of Technology before deciding to pursue a medical career at USC School of Medicine specializing in anesthesia. During his studies, Dr. Tong discovered the flaw of modern-day allopathic medicine: drugs merely mask symptoms, rather than cure diseases. More importantly, all drugs have side effects that can be deadly with long-term use.
While practicing surgical anesthesia, he also treated chronic pain with anesthetic nerve blocks and acupuncture, a therapy he calls Neuro-BioEnergetics or NBE.
